Memory recall. This is maybe the strongest tool available to us for learning, but it gets such a bad rap. For good reason. When you think of memory recall, you likely think of quizzes, tests, maybe timed tables testing, and flash cards. They’ve been overused, used for the wrong reasons, and have too much pressure. Do those bring up trauma for you?
Some back end Friday Instagram fun. Enjoy! And have a fabulous weekend, friend.
I’m ready for Autumn!! 🍂 Who else? Tell me what you are most looking forward to.
We just finished our G6 Waldorf Geometry block last week. It’s such a beautiful block. Even though we start our next US history block, I couldn’t bear to take all our geometry work down.
A look at our math last week. We’ve been starting our year with a review of decimal work. I have been placing her practice on the white board. We use our white board often and not all of her practice is in her math journal. (See my YouTube video on our math journal. If you are a member of the The Beauty of Math community, you have an additional video of our most recent journal as well.)
I had a request for physics resources the other day. I wanted to remind you, in case you are looking for resources as well, that I have a series of blog posts that go over our last physics block.
You loved the spinning! Who knew?! I didn’t, but at your request, I’m posting more about this.
You can practice with me. Send me a message. 😉
Some time ago when I opened a question box, someone commented that they wanted their homeschool to feel like mine looked. There’s a way to do that, or rather there are a few simple steps in making that happen.
